Boxelder Bug - Boisea trivittata

On my first real outside spider-hunt of the year I also found this guy.  In our old house these used to swarm on the side of the house every fall.  The Ladybugs used to do that too.  The main difference is that every year the Ladybug swarm came into the house and they'd be crawling all over the ceiling in the dining room and living room.  Mom loved it but it really freaked the cats out.
